About the project
We invite you to one of the largest speech and language processing teams in Europe. Our lab is a place where engineers, researchers and language experts work together on innovative products for multi-lingual European market. We use cutting edge Artificial Intelligence techniques, big-scale data and adequate computational resources to develop future human language technologies.
We work closely with other Samsung R&D teams to develop the next-generation intelligent personal assistant Bixby. With Bixby we change the way billions of users access, explore and interact with knowledge, information and services. Bixby uses a natural language user interface to perform various tasks on Samsung devices: https://developer.samsung.com/bixby.

Technologies in use:
Python (NumPy, Tensorflow),
Natural Language Processing (statistical and neural language modelling, named entity recognition, information extraction, evaluation of machine learning models),
Data Engineering & Data Science (training & test data collection, data augmentation, text corpus processing, data visualization).
Your responsibilities
- Building, deploying, and improving natural language processing (NLP) and speech recognition models (ASR) for multi-lingual European market,
- Collaboration with other experts and R&D centers,
- Collaboration with a team of internal language experts.
Our requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, mathematics, telecommunications or related fields,
- Knowledge of Linux text shell and scripting (Bash),
- Experience in at least one programming language: Python or other scripting language, C, C++ or Java,
- Practical knowledge or strong interest in natural language or speech processing technologies (NLP, ASR) and extraction of knowledge from textual data or related fields,
- Knowledge of English at a level that enables reading and writing of technical documentation, keeping correspondence and participating in video conferences.
- Experience with language processing sub-domain(s), e.g. part-of-speech tagging, named entity recognition or language modeling,
- Background in formal linguistics or computation theory,
- Practical knowledge of Deep Learning, Neural Networks, data analysis and visualization experience,
- Knowledge of Spanish/French/German or Italian at B1 level (or above) that allows performing tasks consisting of language resources processing.
