About the project

ABB’s Electrification Business has established IT Finance & Other Corporate Functions Delivery domain to drive delivery of high quality IS (Information Systems) services for ABB business units around the globe, bringing significant focus on business value driven innovation and delivery as core competencies.
As a Global IS Project Manager, Finance & Other Corporate Functions, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of multiple cross-functional and cross-cultural programs/projects, ensuring co-ordination, resource management, stakeholder and sponsor communications, reporting and financial management. Join us and play a vital role in driving the successful execution of digital and transformational project critical to IS and ABB success.

Your responsibilities

  • Ensuring the delivery of activities utilizing internal IS delivery units as well as external third party suppliers
  • Managing a library of lessons learned to share, leverage and build on the knowledge within IS
  • Defining and managing organization and services governance, aligning responsibilities and accountabilities with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Executing all actions in IS processes according to agreed RACI specification. Defining and managing the metrics needed to deliver strategic initiatives
  • Aligning executive stakeholders across multiple divisions and acts as advisor and guide to the IS organization, all business functions, and/or external vendors and consulting firms
  • Soliciting advice, supporting, championing, sponsorship and commitment for the success of initiatives
  • Building formal and informal professional networks, and extending these networks within, across and external to organizational boundaries
  • Managing dependencies and resolving conflicts to other ABB departments, functional areas, and cross-organization dependencies
  • Assisting in the demand management process within the domain

Our requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Technology or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in the management of large-scale technology or transformational project
  • Very good experience with and deep knowledge of change management/transformations/PMO combined with knowledge of project delivery methodology or frameworks
  • Project Management/Change Management certifications (e.g. Prosci, ITIL, PMP, Prince2, Agile etc.) would be advantageous
  • Outstanding stakeholder engagement and expectation management skills; proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels
  • Hands-on approach to work, strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Domain experience in IT Finance, HR, Legal, Tax preferred
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
