About the project
We are looking for a Software Engineer to be part of the team responsible for creating the frontend layer of our product, vuTyme™. It is a commercial video solution dedicated to various businesses (big or small), allowing to use of modern television’s power. So far, vuTyme™ is used by many companies in the USA, Europe and Australia. Want more information? Check our website.
This is not a typical Frontend Developer role. You will work on creating a front-end web application running on embedded systems. Such work is associated with technological and performance limitations. Are you ready to take on the challenge?
Your responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain web applications in the embedded systems environment according to functional requirements
- Take care of software performance and quality by code optimization, partake in code review, code testing, and implementing industry best-practices
- Cooperate with the international team (in the USA and Poland) based on agile methodologies
- Prepare technical documentation
- Spend 2 hours of work per week developing your skills
Our requirements
- Technical skills and experience – We are a team of specialists who build complex and demanding products. A good start in our company requires professional experience (approximately 2 – 3 years), a good knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, and a good understanding of working with limited resources. An engineering title will be useful in this position
- Focus on performance and optimization – solutions running on embedded systems are specific. Must be fast, simple, and reliable. Sounds easy? It is a big challenge! Pick up the gauntlet and gain unique competencies
- Independent team player and go-getter approach – We want you to work like us – propose and implement your best ideas, relying on your expertise. You have to be open-minded and listen to others, but ultimately it’s up to you to decide how best to do your job
- Self-development orientation – we want to help you grow by giving you support and the opportunity to find your way to success
- Knowledge of English – ADB is an international company, and our language is English; the team is distributed (USA and Poland) and communicates in English and Polish
- Experience in working on applications in an embedded systems environment
- Knowledge of Java, Java AWT, C, C++, XML, JSON, Ajax, WebSockets, Video Players, jQuery, Linux, DRMs (like PlayReady or Widevine), or IP Video Streaming
