Your responsibilities

• Support the UX & UI lead to develop, refine, and articulate the UX & UI vision and approach, along with a supporting library of design patterns and agreed visual treatments that maximise app effectiveness
• Work with product owners and developers to define the UX and UI for new features in the app and identifying opportunities for optimisation through A/B testing
• Alongside your pod team, you’ll be part of wider design communities across the pods – both for design holistically and for UX Design specifically – working with the UX Practice outside the pods to ensure we deliver consistent, joined-up experiences across the pods.
• Understand and overcome market-specific design challenges and system constraints, driving design improvements which are scalable and flexible to accommodate a wide-range of users
• Build and test prototypes for new features to ensure how they perform ahead of implementation
• Ensure that all developments and optimizations are aligned to drive performance and have clear UX metrics, tracking mechanisms and targets
• Understand customer segments and customer behaviours and mobile customer experience, what’s good and what could be improved.

Our requirements

• Great portfolio showcasing digital design skills covering UX and UI
• Solid understanding of digital design software and workflows (e.g. Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, Zeplin, Figma, InVision)
• Good Experience shaping customer journeys and designing user flows
• Evidence of working with design systems (e.g defining a design system and/or using a design system to maintain consistency)
• Confidence in gathering user requirements from multiple sources and adapting to feedback
• Strong ideation process showing an ability to consider differing options and approaches, and articulating merits of each
• Knowledge and/or experience working with white-label software and solutions
• Ability to apply critical thinking throughout the design process, providing value from design-driven problem solving
• Comfortable undertaking user research activities and using prototyping skills
• Confident working at an abstract/conceptual level, as well as having low-level detail
• Strong ability to define new functionality + great aesthetics for an optimal customer experience
