Our requirements

  • Solid experience (3+ years) in backend engineering with Python and/or .NET / C#.
  • Practical experience building and integrating LLM-powered applications into existing systems.
  • Strong knowledge of RAG architectures (chunking strategies, embeddings, vector databases, retrieval pipelines).
  • Hands-on experience with Hugging Face ecosystem and Transformers library.
  • REST API design, integration, and development to connect AI workflows with existing platforms.
  • Working knowledge of Docker and containerized application delivery.
  • Familiarity with vector databases, semantic search (e.g., Azure AI Search or open-source vector stores), and standard SQL/NoSQL databases.
  • Basic understanding of cloud services (preferably Azure).

Your responsibilities

  • Select and implement LLM technologies and AI services appropriate for a regulated healthcare context
  • Design and build RAG pipelines on curated medical knowledge sources
  • Design data storage and retrieval architecture - vector databases, structured stores, semantic search
  • Implement secure authentication, authorization, and audit mechanisms

About the project

We are building an AI-powered healthcare platform that supports doctors and patients throughout their entire health journey - from first consultation to ongoing care. The platform enables intelligent conversational workflows between patients and physicians, integrated with existing portal.
This is a greenfield architecture role: you will be part of the team that designs the AI layer from scratch while integrating it into an existing system. This engagement is a long-term contract (initially one year, with a target of two or more years).
The role starts in a part-time capacity (~20 hours per week), with the potential to scale up to full-time commitment in the future as the project grows.
You will join as part of our consulting team and work directly with the client's product stakeholders.
