Our requirements

  • 5+ years of IT operations and/or application support experience in a regulated industry, ideally banking or financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL processes, specifically incident, problem, change, and event management.
  • Proven experience building or running 24/7 operations (NOC/operations center/command center/service desk or major incident management).
  • Hands-on understanding of infrastructure resilience and high availability (e.g., clustering approaches, load balancing, redundant components).
  • Experience with monitoring and observability: metrics, APM/tracing/synthetic checks, central logging, and alert/KPI dashboard ownership for 24/7 operations.
  • Practical experience supporting integration and messaging technologies such as REST, SOAP, RabbitMQ, and ActiveMQ.
  • Working knowledge of cloud and platforms, including AWS services such as EKS, S3, RDS PostgreSQL, ECR, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail.
  • Solid background in application-level resilience and operational readiness concepts (in cooperation with development/DevOps).

Optional

  • ITIL certification and/or experience aligning operations to BCM/ISO 22301 (or similar) with concrete technical test plans.
  • Experience with Kong, Kubernetes/EKS, and container-driven operations in production.

Your responsibilities

  • Operate and support highly available banking applications and underlying infrastructure to maintain 24/7 service continuity.
  • Manage incidents, problems, changes, and events using ITIL-based processes, ensuring controlled communication and timely resolution.
  • Run and continuously improve shift models (e.g., NOC/operations/command center and major incident coordination) in line with service expectations.
  • Design and support resilience patterns in collaboration with development and DevOps teams (e.g., blue/green, canary releases, graceful degradation, retry/circuit-breaker patterns).
  • Own monitoring and observability for operational readiness—covering infrastructure and application/transaction monitoring, alerts, dashboards, and log analysis.
  • Use ticket/ITSM tooling (e.g., ServiceNow or Jira or comparable systems) and ensure integrations with monitoring and alerting solutions work reliably.
  • Contribute to high availability and recovery strategies, including backup and recovery concepts and execution of failover/DR test plans.
  • Support enterprise Linux/Unix and Windows Server environments, alongside container orchestration and virtualization platforms.
