Our requirements
- 8+ years of enterprise-level application development experience.
- Solid hands-on experience with JVM programming languages, ideally Java 11+.
- Strong understanding of software design patterns.
- Strong practical understanding of distributed microservices architectures, including service-to-service communication patterns and challenges associated with microservices.
- Experience with relational and document databases.
- Strong understanding and practical application of engineering best practices, including SOLID and Clean Code.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- Familiarity with cloud-based technologies and Kubernetes.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, for example GitLab CI/CD.
- Experience using agentic LLMs to support the software development process.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to independently analyze technical challenges, design solutions and drive larger technical topics through implementation.
- Strong hands-on engineering experience, including the ability to analyze existing code, identify issues and explain technical design decisions.
- English at B2/C1 level.
Optional
- Experience with, or willingness to learn, Java Reactive Programming / Spring WebFlux.
- Experience with NoSQL databases, ideally MongoDB or Cosmos DB.
- Familiarity with BPMN, for example Flowable.
Your responsibilities
- Develop backend applications using Java and microservices architectures.
- Design technical solutions and communication patterns between distributed services.
- Contribute to integrations involving a large number of systems.
- Independently handle larger technical topics, from analysis and high-level design through implementation.
- Collaborate with architects, developers and other project teams to define and deliver appropriate technical solutions.
- Maintain high code quality based on SOLID and Clean Code principles.
- Perform code reviews and contribute to the quality and maintainability of a large codebase.
- Work with Azure, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines and GitLab.
- Use AI-based development tools and agents, including GitHub Copilot, as part of the development process.
