Our requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field (Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, Business) or equivalent work experience
  • More than four years of applicable experience
  • Demonstrated ability to design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards that effectively visualize and communicate data
  • Proven proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across teams, which includes risk managers, technology and data management teams
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week

Optional

  • Knowledge of credit risk management concepts in retail or wholesale lending
  • Experience using Power Automate flows and building Power Apps
  • Experience building complex dashboards and storytelling with data using BI platforms
  • Experience using Python or equivalent programming language
  • Experience in process re-engineering

Your responsibilities

  • Design, develop and automate the reporting processes using Microsoft Power Platform to support credit risk management
  • Develop and maintain an effective relationship with credit portfolio risk managers to design and support credit risk reports across wholesale and retail loan portfolios
  • Design and develop ETL processes to extract, cleanse, and reconcile credit risk data
  • Run weekly, month-end, and quarterly data and reporting processes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of reports
  • Collaborate with development and implementation teams to ensure alignment of data and execution logic
  • Automate workflows for data capture, testing, documentation, and visualization
  • Create comprehensive documentation and playbooks to promote process consistency and knowledge sharing
  • Explore and apply machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) techniques to enhance process efficiency
  • Communicate insights and recommendations to risk managers to support strategic decision-making

About the project

In this role, you will support and help to redesign and transform various wholesale and retail credit risk data and reporting processes to support risk managers, model developers and business lines. You will work with internal customers to ensure their data and reporting needs are met with accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness.
Responsibilities will be split between standardized reporting deliverables and project work to enhance data, reporting capabilities, and process improvement. This will include creating and maintaining Power BI dashboards, automating and simplifying recurring processes using Power Automate/Apps, and conducting data research projects by aggregating, integrating, or reassembling information from a variety of data sources and systems by writing database queries in SQL, Python, or other database query languages.
You will partner with risk managers, line of business, and data teams to create, implement, maintain, and review the bank’s wholesale credit reports.
