Our requirements

  • Strong programming skills: Python, T-SQL, and deep understanding of data lifecycle management
  • Expertise in BI and reporting tools (Looker, Qlik Sense, Data Studio) and familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably Google Cloud)
  • Experience creating conceptual, logical, and physical data models
  • Knowledge of ETL processes, API integration, and governance tools
  • Excellent analytical problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills in a global team environment
  • Leads delivery of complex data engineering solutions, ensuring adherence to HSBC architecture and security standards

Your responsibilities

  • Develop data technology solutions using industry-standard tools (Google BigQuery, Qlik Sense, Looker Studio, Collibra, Alteryx) and programming languages (Python, T-SQL, C#)
  • Build secure, automated data analytics pipelines and maintain scalable architecture in line with HSBC policies
  • Create and manage data assets, dashboards, and reporting capabilities for analytics consumption
  • Work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Optimize data ingestion, feature engineering, and query performance for end-users
  • Ensure secure transfer and storage of data in compliance with regulatory and internal audit controls
  • Prepare and maintain thorough documentation (roadmaps, process descriptions, technical designs)
  • Provide ad-hoc data analysis and complex reporting within cloud and SQL environments
  • Support continuous process improvement and automation in data provisioning workflows
