Our requirements

• Coordinate vendor change as the project manager, ensuring alignment across teams and stakeholders.
• Plan and manage delivery activities, including schedules, dependencies, resource allocation and risk mitigation.
• Manage project budget and financial forecasting to support transparent, accurate reporting.
• Monitor and report delivery progress and risks; proactively identify issues and escalate as needed to maintain predictable execution.
• Promote and uphold project management discipline and a strong delivery culture across the team.
• Organise and run project team meetings, maintain clear minutes and action tracking.
• Prepare and deliver progress reporting and Steering Committee (SteerCo) updates.

Optional

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience with a proven track record leading large-scale platform migrations or vendor replacement projects in the Hadoop / Cloudera domain.
• Strong risk and issue management skills with a pragmatic approach to mitigation and escalation.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail; able to synthesise complex technical and business information into clear, actionable insights.
• Outstanding communication skills in English, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage stakeholders and drive follow-up actions.
• Demonstrated experience managing relationships with executive stakeholders and diverse delivery teams.
• Project ownership, proactivity and a positive, can-do attitude.

Your responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python, ensuring reliability and scalability for data-processing workflows.
• Implement and evolve frontend applications using TypeScript; Vue.js is preferred, with React acceptable where appropriate.
• Architect and operate applications on Kubernetes, including deployment, scaling, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Develop and maintain asynchronous, event-driven components and integrations for high-throughput processing systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions and to conduct code reviews and technical guidance.
• Contribute to system design decisions, documentation, and operational runbooks to support production stability.
