  • Knowledge of MQTT, event-driven architectures, and the Unified Namespace (UNS)
  • Experience integrating systems via REST APIs, OPC UA, and MQTT

  • Knowledge of Python for automation, data processing, and the implementation of analytics and AI applications
  • Knowledge of Industrial IoT, edge computing, and OT/IT convergence
  • Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, centralized logging platforms, alerting concepts, and modern observability solutions.

  • Building and operating automated CI/CD pipelines
  • Deploying applications using GitOps principles
  • Creating and maintaining declarative deployment configurations for OpenShift using GitOps principles (e.g. ArgoCD, Helm Charts, Kustomize)
  • Automating operational, deployment, and configuration processes
  • Container and release management throughout the entire software lifecycle
  • Use Case Development and Integration
  • Developing and enhancing cloud-native microservices
  • Implementing integration services based on Java, Apache Camel, and Quarkus
  • Developing MQTT-, OPC UA-, and REST-based interfaces
  • Independently implementing smaller Factory Edge use cases
  • Integrating data analytics, AI, and computer vision applications

    Shape the digital production of tomorrow.
    The Factory Edge Platform provides the technological foundation for data analytics, artificial intelligence, computer vision, and Industrial IoT across MAN's production plants. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be part of the Provisioning Team and play a key role in operating, enhancing, and scaling this platform.
    You will be responsible for the technical provisioning of production-related applications on a modern OpenShift platform and ensure that new use cases are transferred into production efficiently, securely, and in a standardized manner. In doing so, you will work closely with the plants, internal specialist departments, and external service providers, while actively supporting the implementation of Industry 4.0 and AI applications.
