Our requirements

  • Hands-on experience with GCP services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL and Artifact Registry.
  • Strong understanding of GCP resource hierarchy (Organization, Folders, Projects) and IAM, service accounts and Workload Identity Federation.
  • Practical experience designing VPCs, firewall rules, Private Service Connect, Shared VPC and Cloud NAT; familiarity with Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud DNS and Cloud Armor.
  • Production-grade Terraform experience, including modules, remote state, workspaces, state locking and multi-environment workflows; familiarity with tflint, tfsec / Checkov and terraform-docs.
  • Experience with Git workflows and GitHub Actions for CI/CD; knowledge of branching strategies, pull requests, protected branches, CODEOWNERS, GitHub Secrets and OIDC authentication to GCP.
  • Proven experience deploying and operating workloads on GKE: Deployments, StatefulSets, CronJobs, ConfigMaps, Secrets, PodDisruptionBudgets, Workload Identity, Node Pools and Cluster Autoscaler.
  • Security and compliance experience: least-privilege design, Secret Manager, container image scanning, audit logging, VPC Service Controls, organizational policies and security tooling integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Observability expertise with Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Cloud Trace and Cloud Profiler; experience defining SLIs/SLOs and alerting policies. Experience with Datadog, Grafana/Prometheus or Dynatrace is a plus.
  • Operational experience typical of SRE or equivalent production engineering roles: on-call responsibility, incident response, post-mortems, SLI/SLO management, autoscaling, capacity planning and deployment strategies (canary, blue-green, feature flags).

Your responsibilities

  • Design, implement and operate cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Build, maintain and evolve Terraform-based infrastructure, including modules, remote state and multi-environment management.
  • Design and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, incorporating build, test, security scanning and deployment stages.
  • Deploy and operate containerised workloads on Kubernetes / GKE, including Helm chart lifecycle and cluster management.
  • Implement platform security measures: IAM and least-privilege models, secret management, image scanning and supply-chain protections.
  • Define and maintain observability — SLIs, SLOs, alerting policies, structured logging and metrics.
  • Support platform reliability and operational excellence: incident response, on-call duties, post-mortems and blameless retrospectives.
  • Apply networking best practices for VPCs, firewall policies, private connectivity and DNS configuration.
  • Create and maintain documentation, runbooks and architecture decision records.
