Your responsibilities

  • Component Upgrades in Front Arena space
  • Refining the decoupling legacy flows (Front Arena)
  • Performance improvement of OMNI, Front Arena
  • Taking care of more complicated issues, requiring involving several teams
  • Working with Incident, Change and Problem Management
  • Constantly working on simplifying and modernizing the trading applications
  • Managing automation projects for supported applications and working environment
  • Maintaining and expanding our business flow monitoring
  • Creating and updating knowledge base

We are looking for an Equity Trading Business Specialist (Senior/Expert) to strengthen our Equity DevOps area. If you are passionate about trading technology, complex real-time systems, resiliency or DevOps, and having a close dialog with traders to ensure everything runs smoothly, then this might be a perfect fit! The role is based in Poland, ideally Tricity (Gdańsk/Gdynia), optionally Warsaw.
The Equity DevOps team is a group of senior technologists, responsible for Nordea’s equity trading platforms. The platforms provide a wide range of business capabilities, including order management, exchange connectivity, risk and position management, as well as low-latency market making, covering equity cash products, derivatives and funds.

About this opportunity

Up to a billion transactions are handled by this infrastructure daily, the majority driven by automated trading logic with high demands on performance, stability and scalability under load. The platforms are required to handle extreme market conditions, including once-in-a-decade market crashes and rallies. You will be closely cooperating with the development and trading teams in our headquarters in central Stockholm and Copenhagen and will be one of a few people responsible for supporting and improving the way of working for our traders. Nordea Technology is organized around competence areas, such as SW Development, IT Analysis and Application Maintenance. Your home will be in the Application Maintenance capability. Engineers from the various competence areas come together in DevOps teams, which is where the business value is delivered through projects or application maintenance and support. You will be part in one of the Equity DevOps teams. In Application Maintenance you will drive the best practices and standards around how Nordea delivers application maintenance, while in Equities DevOps team you will deliver solutions around the trading applications.

About our team

Meet the Front Office Appllication Maintenance Equity Trading Solutions team. Our role is to provide application support to Nordea’s equity trading desks. As Equity Trading Business Specialist (Senior/Expert), you’ll play a valuable role in keeping the lights on in our application area. You will also participate in projects and discussions with business and will to some extent coordinate work within the sub-team.
You’ll join a team of 10 skilled engineers focused on delivering business value. The role is based in Poland, ideally Tricity (Gdańsk/Gdynia), and mandatory 3 days a week presence is office is required.
