• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Good knowledge of Azure IaaS, PaaS and SaaS services.
• Experience with Azure infrastructure administration and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Azure DevOps.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar enterprise SaaS platforms.
• Strong experience with Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Experience administering Windows-based infrastructure and server environments.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure monitoring, capacity management and high availability.
• Networking
• Strong understanding of enterprise networking and connectivity.
• Experience with firewall administration and network security.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki is highly desirable/required.
• Good understanding of DNS, network traffic, connectivity and troubleshooting.
• Experience managing Wi-Fi and broader network infrastructure.
• Endpoint & Identity
• Experience with Microsoft Intune and mobile device management.
• Strong understanding of identity, authentication, access control and security policies.
• Experience managing Microsoft-based enterprise environments.
• Security & Compliance
• Good understanding of infrastructure security principles.
• Experience implementing security controls across Azure and Microsoft environments.
• Knowledge of firewall management, endpoint protection and security patching.
• Experience managing SSL/TLS certificates and domain registrations.
• Understanding of security and compliance frameworks such as PCI DSS and Cyber Essentials Plus.
• Experience supporting IT audits, software licensing and information security policies.
• Backup, DR & Business Continuity
• Strong experience with infrastructure backup and recovery.
• Experience designing or maintaining Disaster Recovery solutions.
• Knowledge of Azure data replication and resilience.
• Experience participating in Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery testing.
• Ability to document recovery procedures and technical runbooks.
• Leadership & Operations
• Previous experience leading or mentoring an infrastructure/technical support team.
• Ability to act as a senior technical escalation point.
• Strong problem-solving and incident management skills.
• Experience managing third-party vendors, support contracts and SLAs.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.
• Comfortable working in a hands-on technical leadership role.

Your responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a small team of Infrastructure Engineers, managing priorities, workload and day-to-day activities.
• Take ownership of the organisation's infrastructure environment, ensuring high availability, performance and reliability.
• Administer and support Microsoft Azure environments across IaaS, PaaS and SaaS services.
• Manage Microsoft Entra ID and on-premises Active Directory environments.
• Act as a senior technical escalation point for complex Azure and infrastructure-related incidents.
• Monitor and troubleshoot server, network and infrastructure performance issues.
• Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including firewalls, connectivity, Wi-Fi and network security.
• Administer Cisco Meraki firewall configurations and security rules.
• Manage corporate/mobile devices using Microsoft Intune.
• Lead infrastructure upgrades, migrations, optimisation and improvement projects.
• Establish and maintain infrastructure hardware and software standards.
• Manage SSL/TLS certificates and domain registrations, ensuring timely renewals.
• Maintain infrastructure documentation, system configurations, procedures and operational knowledge bases.
• Work closely with Cyber Security teams to implement and maintain security controls.
• Support security, compliance and audit activities.
• Contribute to information security policies and ensure infrastructure aligns with relevant industry standards.
• Manage backup solutions and monitor backup success across servers and critical data.
• Develop and maintain Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity capabilities.
• Support data replication and resilience across the Azure estate.
• Participate in DR/BC testing and document recovery procedures.
• Manage infrastructure vendors, support contracts, SLAs and service performance.
• Support Azure commercial/commitment management and optimise cloud expenditure.
• Provide advanced 2nd/3rd line support for infrastructure and business applications.
• Collaborate with software development and technical support teams on environments, deployments and troubleshooting.
• Produce regular infrastructure, performance and security reports.
