  • Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in software/system testing or integration engineering (preferably in space, aerospace, automotive, defence, or other safety-critical/embedded domains).
  • Leadership Aptitude: Strong communication skills, initiative, and a desire to mentor others and grow into a team leader role.
  • Solid practical knowledge of test methodologies and integration for complex distributed systems.
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Aerospace Engineering, Automation & Robotics, or a related field.
  • Languages: Full professional proficiency in English (written and spoken).

Optional

  • Familiarity with space and ground communication protocols (e.g., CCSDS, SpaceWire, CAN, TCP/IP).
  • Software testing certification (e.g., ISTQB Certified Tester – Advanced Level, Test Analyst, or Test Manager).
  • Background or prior experience working as a System Analyst, or familiarity with requirements engineering (e.g., IREB certification, UML/SysML, tools like DOORS, Enterprise Architect, or Jama).
  • Prior experience in lead roles, agile scrum mastering, or technical team leadership.
  • Proficiency in test automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and scripting (e.g., Python, Bash).
  • Knowledge of ECSS (European Cooperation for Space Standardization) standards (e.g., ECSS-E-ST-40C, ECSS-Q-ST-80C).

Your responsibilities

  • Test Campaign Strategy & Execution: Develop comprehensive Test Plans, define testing strategies, scope, and levels (e.g., unit, integration, system, acceptance testing) for flight software and ground station systems.
  • Segment Integration: Coordinate and execute the integration between the Space Segment and the Ground Segment, verifying system interfaces, communication protocols, and data flows.
  • Requirements & System Analysis: Analyze system specifications and mission requirements to author high-quality Test Cases and Test Procedures.
  • Take ownership of the testing roadmap and quality engineering standards across projects.
  • Act as the technical point of contact for systems engineers, software developers, and project managers.

In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end planning and execution of test campaigns for advanced satellite systems, integrating the Space Segment with the Ground Segment.
