Our requirements

  • A university degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in the IT industry, with a strong background in software development, cloud solutions, and IT security.
  • 4+ years of dedicated experience in IT architecture and infrastructure design.
  • Identity & Access Management (IAM): Expert knowledge of IAM design and governance, including Microsoft Entra ID, Azure SSO, SAML, OIDC, WAM, Kerberos, and user lifecycle management.
  • Microsoft Ecosystem: In-depth experience with the Microsoft stack, including Windows 11, M365, Intune, SharePoint Online, and both on-premise and cloud technologies, maintenance and onboarding of SaaS solutions.
  • Networking & Security: Solid understanding of fundamental networking concepts, essential ports, and protocols, experience deploying production, user, application, and internet-facing systems across separate, secure network layers (Zero Trust model). Practical knowledge of secure system-to-system communication using APIs, API Gateways, and Service Bus technologies.
  • Infrastructure & Development: Foundational knowledge of servers, storage, and databases. A full-stack developer mindset with experience in languages like C# or C++. Basic understanding of DevSecOps principles.
  • Enterprise Architecture: Practical experience with Enterprise Architecture Management tools (e.g., SAP LeanIX, LUY) and methodologies (TOGAF).
  • Backup systems and disaster recovery (DR) strategies, with the ability to advise teams on business continuity.
  • Digital & AI literacy: ability to integrate basic AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini) and AI agents into corporate business processes. Advanced proficiency in using O365 applications, Visio and/or Draw.io, Teams, Mural, SharePoint, and the Atlassian toolset.
  • Proven ability to translate complex business needs into clear technical solutions.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and teamwork abilities.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory.

Optional

  • Certifications such as TOGAF, SAFe, or ITIL.
  • Architectural experience with Atlassian products or UiPath.
  • Familiarity with AVAYA technology.
  • Understanding of manufacturing solutions and IoT space.
  • Good command of the German language.

Your responsibilities

  • Architectural Design, Documentation & Strategy: Design and ensure proper documentation of  end-to-end solution architectures (drawing comprehensive enterprise architecture graphs including logical & physical architecture, and business process maps for our digital workplace. Evaluate and select technologies that are secure, scalable, enterprise ready and aligned with our enterprise strategy and budget.
  • Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Provide expert guidance to development teams, product owners, and fellow architects. Translate business needs into technical solutions and simplify complex IT policies for clear communication and implementation.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a key liaison between business and IT stakeholders. Proactively engage, negotiate, and align differing perspectives to ensure project feasibility and strategic alignment. Anticipate future architectural needs and proactively guide key decision-makers on strategic technology steps.
  • Modernization & Security: Drive critical modernization initiatives. Support and guide application owners during Active Directory (AD) migration phases analyzing current application state and ensuring they meet updated regulations to be Zero Trust ready. Define target architectures and ensure all solutions adhere to the highest security and privacy standards.
  • Project & Process Management: Oversee complex technical projects, such as cross-country application migrations and large-scale data transfers. Actively participate in risk evaluation, conflict management, and cost-based decision-making.
