- Practical experience in at least two areas of IT infrastructure (e.g., Windows, Linux, networking, virtualization, cloud technologies, backup, monitoring, software deployment, or IT security)
- A broad technical understanding of IT infrastructure and the interdependencies between its components
- An interest in a wide range of technical tasks and the willingness to independently learn new systems and technologies
- A structured, independent, and service-oriented working style, combined with strong analytical troubleshooting skills
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, as well as a good command of English (German language skills are an advantage)
Your responsibilities
Systems, Networks & Platforms
▪️Operate and support server, network, and platform services
▪️Administer Windows, Linux, virtualization, and cloud environments
▪️Provision and manage file storage and data services
▪️Support the operation and further development of Linux clusters
Security, Access Management & Compliance
▪️Support firewall, access control, and authorization topics
▪️Implement security, patch management, and compliance measures
▪️Analyze and remediate technical vulnerabilities
Monitoring, Backup & Service Operations
▪️Operate and monitor backup and monitoring systems
▪️Analyze and resolve technical incidents and issues
▪️Process and document incidents, service requests, and changes in the IT service management system
▪️Take ownership of assigned areas of responsibility and provide backup coverage
Workplace, Software Deployment & Technical Systems
▪️Support workplace IT, laboratory IT, and industrial IT systems
▪️Provision and update software through the designated software deployment system
▪️Install, configure, and update technical systems
Automation, Projects & Collaboration
▪️Automate recurring tasks using scripts and appropriate tools
▪️Participate in infrastructure, cloud, and security projects
▪️Create and maintain required technical documentation
▪️Collaborate with international and internal teams as well as external service providers
▪️Continuously improve and standardize IT services
▪️Independently learn and adapt to a wide range of systems and technologies
