  • A strong analytical mindset and a passion for solving complex data engineering challenges
  • Solid computer science fundamentals or experience with functional programming languages (Haskell, Clojure, Scala) OR vectorization skills in Python, R, Matlab, or Wolfram
  • Interest in large datasets, data modeling, and statistical concepts
  • Familiarity or willingness to learn Linux, Cloud infrastructure, and AI/ML integration
  • Ability to own tasks from requirements gathering to implementation and testing with cooperative engagement
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, proactive attitude, and strong communication skills

Your responsibilities

Platform Design & Development
  • Develop and optimize kdb+ queries and processes to meet low-latency, high-throughput performance requirements
  • Build analytic and aggregation layers that feed APIs, downstream systems, and AI/ML workflows
  • Data Engineering & Integration
  • Expose kdb+ data to front-end applications, AI engines, and reporting systems via APIs
  • Collaborate with AI/data engineering teams to deliver structured, high-quality datasets for models
  • Performance & Reliability
  • Implement monitoring and alerting solutions for kdb+ environments
  • Support failover strategies and disaster recovery plans for critical services
  • Collaboration & Governance
  • Partner with traders, quants, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions
  • Adhere to internal policies around data governance, operational risk, and model risk complia
