Our requirements

  • Bachelor/Master degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar subject
  • 8+ years' working experience in a data related area, 5+ years in the field of Data & Analytics, preferably in the area of Product Supply & CPG industry
  • Excellent data architecture & technology knowledge, data engineering & data management skills (e.g. data quality).
  • Excellent Technology knowhow in Azure Databricks, ADF, Azure Container Services, AzureML, Azure Foundry. Programming languages like SQL, experience in various databases (SQL/NoSQL), PySpark (DataFrame API, Spark SQL, MLlib), key libraries (e.g., pandas, SQLAlchemy), parallel processing, and advanced data transformation and performance optimization techniques), and BI/reporting solutions like PowerBi/Tableau. Knowhow in application development frameworks (e.g. Django, Flask, FastAPI) and JavaScript UI Frameworks (React.js, Next.js) is a plus.
  • Profound business and data content knowledge of respective business domain product supply (product data, formulations, quality data, Orders, procurement data and finance data such as COGS)
  • Experience in steering implementation teams consisting of internal engineers and engineers from external vendors on a technical and organizational level.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills, combined with impeccable business judgement.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills, active listening, consulting, challenging, presentation skills, fluent in English (written & spoken), intercultural awareness Master degree in computer science, engineering or a comparable subject
  • Intercultural awareness (Europe, US, India) and willingness to travel occasionally

Your responsibilities

  • Lead technical implementation analytic projects in the area of Product Supply. Ensure providers or internal developer teams follow our best practices and design principles as a solid foundation to deliver fit-for purpose & scalable data products for analytics use cases.
  • Design, lead and manage the integration of different data sources (e.g. product data, formulations, quality data, Orders, procurement data and finance data such as COGS etc.) and the design of reusable data models and/or marts in order to meet the business requirements as well as architecture of AI Agents.
  • Contribute to creation of data management and steer implementation of proper data management processes leveraging best practices and joint methodologies to be developed with core data asset architects (e.g. event-based data management).
  • Initiate and prepare Architecture Change Advisory Boards and collaborate with other data architects, business functions, analytics leads, data science teams and platform architects in order to reuse data and ensure sustainable pipelines and analytical products are built.
  • Collaborate with business functions (global & regional business stakeholders) and other IT teams (core data asset architects, analytics teams, data science teams, platform product managers & integration architects) to ensure delivery in line with value, business priorities and IT objectives.
  • As a technical lead, steer external providers and internal implementation teams, guide them as architect and lead engineer, provide cost and time estimations, challenge vendor costs and assure quality delivery of vendor implementations & proper handover to support.
  • Contribute to the enrichment of our key cloud-based data & analytics technology stacks according to the needs of the analytics products in your area of responsibility

The Data Assets, Analytics & AI team at Bayer Consumer Health focuses on bringing digital transformation and innovation by creating best in class analytical solutions enabling data-driven decision making and performance optimization for Bayer Consumer Health organization.
You will be part of the Data Assets, Analytics & AI organization and are responsible to technically guide projects in the area of core data assets and/or commercial analytics projects such as e.g. eCommerce Analytics. You partner with other data architects, business stakeholders, data scientists, analytics leads as well as implementation partners/vendors to build our core data assets and/or analytical products. You ensure a proper data management, data ingestion and data pipeline orchestration and that a scalable and well performing analytical product is build.
