Linux Systems Administrator

Our requirements

• BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Advanced in Linux (RedHat/CentOS 7, 8, 9).
• Practical knowledge of containerization (Docker).
• Knowledge of scripting languages (linux shell/perl/python).
• Skills in network administration (Fortigate, Netgear).
• Knowledge of Zabbix administration.
• Centralized logging and monitoring stacks knowledge.
• Experience in Ansible or other automation tool.
• ZFS file system experience.
• Experience with FreeIPA.
• Experience with GitLab.
• Experience in virtualization (VirtualBox, Proxmox or other).
• Independent English speaker (level at least B2).
• Must be self-motivated and communicative, team-player.
• Positive attitude to learning and self-development.
• Ability to work under time pressure.
• Broad knowledge of network and computer hardware.
• Basic knowledge of electronics.
• Prior experience is welcome.

Your responsibilities

• Linux systems administration (mainly RHEL 7, 8, 9).
• Supporting a team of electronics engineers (all-round linux support, EDA tools support).
• AI administration: ollama, vllm.
• Continuous integration ex. GitLab (CI/CD).
• Ticketing system maintenance (ex. Jira).
• Backups management/verification.
• Network storage management, ZFS filesystem management.
• Installations, updates, and system maintenance.
• Daily system monitoring.
• Hardware lifecycle management: deployment, replacement, and decommissioning; hardware maintenance.
• Setting up and maintaining server hardware (racking, cabling, drives, basic data center tasks).
• Configuration, managing and solving NFS exports, automount and ZFS problems.
• Creating documentation of current issues/configuration (ex. Xwiki, bookstack).
