About the project
The primary task for the person employed in this position will be the development and implementation of advanced mathematical models for the technical analysis of bioreactors, as part of an adaptive digital twin. The person in this role will be responsible for reviewing, developing, and implementing various types of mathematical models, including numerical, physical, and machine learning-based models, to optimize and monitor the technical parameters of the bioreactor.
Your responsibilities
- Reviewing existing mathematical models of bioreactors, including numerical and physical models related to flow dynamics, heat exchange, mass transport, and other technical parameters.
- Designing and developing new mathematical models that consider parameters such as temperature, oxygen and other gas concentrations, pH, and other key technical variables of the bioreactor.
- Applying machine learning techniques to improve the accuracy and efficiency of the models, including predicting bioreactor behavior under different operational conditions.
- Conducting computer simulations to test and validate the developed models using experimental data.
- Collaborating with the team to implement the developed models as part of the adaptive digital twin of the bioreactor, enabling real-time monitoring and optimization of technical parameters.
- Preparing reports and technical documentation related to model development and implementation, and presenting results to the team and management.
Our requirements
- Master’s degree in mathematics, computer science, chemical engineering, bioinformatics, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in mathematical modeling, preferably in the area of bioreactors or industrial processes.
- Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python), statistical methods, and experience with numerical libraries and machine learning tools.
- English language proficiency at a minimum of B2 level.
