Platform Engineer - Linux, Kubernetes & Automation (f/m)

Our requirements

• Completed higher education in computer science, engineering, or a comparable technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience
• At least five years of relevant experience in Linux administration, platform engineering, infrastructure operations, or a comparable enterprise IT role
• Strong hands-on knowledge of enterprise Linux distributions, particularly RHEL, SLES, and Ubuntu
• Practical experience with Kubernetes administration and cluster lifecycle management
• Advanced experience with Ansible, automation, and scripting using Python and Unix Shell
• Fluent English skills, both written and spoken, enabling effective work in an international environment

Optional

• Hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and Argo CD-based GitOps workflows
• Experience with VMware Kubernetes Solutions (VKS) and Cluster API environments
• Practical experience with Golang for automation and platform engineering
• Understanding of ITIL and ITSM processes, including incident, request, change, and problem management
• Knowledge of Atlassian Jira or comparable service management tools
• Linux, Kubernetes, Ansible, VMware, Cloud Native, or ITIL certifications

Your responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and optimize enterprise Linux environments based on RHEL, SLES, and Ubuntu
• Manage and operate Kubernetes clusters, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance of platform services
• Develop and improve infrastructure automation using Ansible and Infrastructure as Code practices
• Implement and maintain GitOps and CI/CD workflows using tools such as GitLab and Argo CD
• Monitor system health, analyse incidents, troubleshoot Linux and Kubernetes environments, and restore services efficiently
• Collaborate with international IT teams and contribute to the continuous improvement of Linux and Kubernetes platforms
