Our requirements
We are looking for a business leader with a strong background in Product Design or digital consulting. You may currently work as a Business Unit Manager, Practice Lead, Client Services Director, Delivery Director, or Head of Product Design — provided that your role includes genuine commercial ownership.
You are a great fit if you have:
Commercial ownership: You have owned or co-owned revenue, margin, and forecasting for a consulting practice, agency unit, delivery portfolio, or digital services business. Sales and client growth: You have personally contributed to winning, renewing, or expanding client engagements through discovery, proposals, pricing, and executive conversations. Portfolio management: You have managed multiple concurrent client engagements and made decisions balancing scope, staffing, quality, utilization, and profitability. Leadership: You have led and evaluated a team, including hiring, performance decisions, capability development, and difficult feedback. Domain credibility: You have sufficient senior experience in Product Design, UX, Service Design, or digital product consulting to assess quality and challenge senior specialists. Communication: You can operate fluently in Polish and English with C-level, business, product, and technology stakeholders. This is not primarily a hands-on design or creative direction role. We are looking for evidence of business ownership in addition to design leadership.
When applying, please highlight your experience with revenue/margin responsibility, client portfolio management, and service development, in addition to your design leadership background.
Optional
Experience in projects for the financial (FSI), energy, logistics, or healthcare sectors, or for large enterprise organizations. We also value familiarity with legacy modernization, digital accessibility (WCAG/EAA), design systems, and AI-based conversational or agentic interfaces.
Your responsibilities
We are looking for a Product Design Business Unit Manager to own and grow EDISONDA’s Product Design business line.
You will be accountable for the unit’s revenue, margin, sales pipeline, client portfolio, delivery performance, and team capability. Working with the Growth team and the Digital Partner, you will turn Product Design expertise into a scalable, profitable offering for clients in Poland and across the international Grant Thornton Advisors platform.
This is a commercial leadership role in professional services. Strong Product Design expertise is essential for judging quality, building client credibility, and developing the team, but individual design production orcreative direction is not the core of the job. We are looking for someone who runs a design capability like a business.
The role reports to the Digital Partner and leads a team spanning Product Design, UX/UI, Visual Design, Motion Design, and Service Design.
Your role is built on three pillars: commercial growth, delivery excellence, and team authority.
Business Ownership and Growth
Own the annual business plan, revenue target, target margin, and quarterly forecast for the Product Design unit. Build and manage the commercial pipeline together with the Growth team; contribute to qualification, proposals, pricing, and client pitches. Grow existing accounts through renewals, upsell, and cross-sell, taking responsibility for commercial follow-through rather than only identifying opportunities. Develop and productize the Product Design service portfolio, including pricing, go-to-market priorities, and partner enablement for Grant Thornton.Client Portfolio and Delivery Performance
Manage the economics of the portfolio: project margin, scope, team utilization, staffing mix, and bench risk. Own a portfolio of key client relationships and maintain executive-level credibility from proposal through delivery and renewal. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and at the expected quality level. Intervene early when scope, margin, staffing, quality, or client satisfaction is at risk.Team Leadership and Design Authority
Lead the Product Design team, managing staffing, performance reviews, development plans, and hiring recommendations. Assess seniority and competencies, build succession plans, and ensure the team has the capabilities required by the service portfolio. Act as the final quality authority for critical design decisions without becoming the default hands-on designer on every project. Advance the practice of digital product design, enterprise systems, design systems, digital accessibility, and AI-driven interfaces.
