Our requirements

  • 3–5 years of professional experience as a Python Developer, preferably with a data or backend focus.

  • Solid SQL skills and hands-on experience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL and/or Oracle.
  • Experience building and orchestrating data pipelines, ideally using Airflow.
  • Good knowledge of Git, code reviews, automated testing and CI/CD practices.
  • Good understanding of API design and system integration.
  • Ability to work confidently in English within an international team.

Optional

  • Full-stack experience, particularly with Angular – a strong advantage due to the Motortrade front end.

  • Exposure to event streaming technologies, such as Kafka.
  • Familiarity with data-quality and observability tools.
  • Understanding of machine-learning workflows and the ability to collaborate with data scientists.

Your responsibilities

  • Data pipelines: Design, build and maintain ingestion and transformation pipelines, orchestrated with Airflow, bringing internal vehicle and contract data as well as external market data into the platform.
  • Data modelling: Help shape and evolve the canonical data model in the data hub, with a strong focus on data quality, consistency and lineage.
  • Backend & APIs: Build and maintain Python services and REST APIs exposing pricing, vehicle, mapping and recommendation data to internal consumers, including the Motortrade platform.
  • Integration: Implement and maintain integrations with source and downstream systems, including external API integrations and event-driven data flows.
  • Quality & reliability: Write clean, tested and well-documented code; implement monitoring and data-quality checks; and support pipelines and services in production.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Product Owners, Technical Architects, Scrum Masters and Motortrade developers, translating pricing and business logic into robust and maintainable software.
  • Full-stack contribution – a plus: If you have a full-stack profile, you may also contribute to the Angular front end, where pricing features are presented to users.
