Quality Assurance Specialist – Intern (m/f/d)

• Student or recent graduate in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Basic understanding of software development and software testing concepts.
• Interest in software quality assurance and digital technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to organize assigned activities and work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Ability to adapt to new tools, technologies, and ways of working.

Optional

• Previous academic, personal, or internship experience related to software testing.
• Basic understanding of Agile software development practices.
• Familiarity with API testing concepts.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar tools.
• Interest in accessibility testing and user experience.
• Experience using AI tools to support learning, productivity, or software development activities.

Your responsibilities

• Support verification of software functionality against defined business, functional, non-functional, and accessibility requirements.
• Assist in reviewing requirements from a quality and testability perspective.
• Support preparation of test scenarios and test cases based on documented requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Execute manual testing activities for web applications and digital solutions.
• Document testing results and observations in designated tools and repositories.
• Identify and report defects discovered during testing activities.
• Perform re-testing of implemented fixes and document outcomes.
• Assist in maintaining and updating test cases, test suites, and related testing documentation.
• Support validation of integrations, APIs, and data flows using approved testing tools and methods.
• Contribute to collecting and organizing testing evidence supporting software releases.
• Assist in analyzing testing results and identifying recurring issues requiring further investigation.
• Use AI-powered tools to support test preparation, execution, defect analysis, and continuous learning.
• Support preparation of test reports and summaries of completed testing activities.
• Maintain traceability records between requirements, test cases, defects, and testing results within Azure DevOps.
• Participate in team discussions related to assigned testing activities and quality assurance topics.
• Assist in verification that acceptance criteria, testing requirements, and quality standards are properly documented.
• Support accessibility testing activities for public-facing applications.
• Update testing-related information and documentation in Azure DevOps and other approved tools.
• Participate in knowledge-sharing activities related to software quality assurance and testing practices.
• Perform other quality assurance-related activities agreed upon with the Contracting Party.
