- Level of Experience: 8+ years of regulatory or compliance reporting experience within investment banking, asset management, or capital markets institutions, including 2+ years in a team leadership or managerial role.
- MiFID II Expertise: Deep hands-on knowledge of MiFID II transaction reporting, trade lifecycle, reference data, and complex financial instruments (equities, fixed income, derivatives).
- Regulatory Frameworks: Strong understanding of international financial market regulations and local supervisory expectations (including KNF guidelines and EU reporting regimes).
- Data & Technical Skills: High proficiency in SQL for query building, data validation, and extraction, alongside advanced Excel, Alteryx, or data pipeline automation tools.
- Controls & Governance: Proven track record in establishing reconciliations, root-cause analysis procedures, and audit support frameworks.
- Project & Vendor Management: Demonstrated ability to write technical specifications for IT teams and manage external regulatory service providers.
- Education & Languages: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field; fluent English and Polish.
Your responsibilities
- Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing regulatory reporting team, driving technical and operational excellence.
- Own the end-to-end delivery and governance of global regulatory filings and transaction reporting submissions across multiple jurisdictions.
- Lead MiFID II transaction reporting workflows, trade/reference data reporting across OTC and exchange-traded products, and incident investigations.
- Design and scale robust regulatory controls, reconciliations, and audit-ready governance frameworks to mitigate operational risk.
- Partner with Technology and Data teams to build SQL validation queries, automated data pipelines, and internal reporting tools.
- Manage third-party vendors and data service providers, translating business requirements into clear technical deliverables.
- Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Finance teams to interpret evolving market regulations and local supervisory standards (including KNF and EU regulatory frameworks).
