  • 2+ years of experience managing or coordinating software releases, projects, or similar activities from planning through to implementation.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment and an Agile mindset.
  • Good understanding of software development and release processes.
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to read and analyze third-party logs and technical documentation.
  • Basic understanding of Microservices Architecture.
  • Familiarity with containerized environments, particularly Docker.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes.
  • Basic knowledge of web technologies and software design patterns.
  • Understanding of Continuous Integration concepts is an advantage.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Your responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage the transition of solutions into production following successful UAT completion.
  • Coordinate post-release verification and testing activities to ensure that releases are working as expected.
  • Manage and continuously improve release-related processes, procedures, and workflows.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and improve the release process and contribute to their implementation.
  • Provide coordination, guidance, and ownership for assigned release activities, ensuring that agreed processes and timelines are followed.
  • Manage several ongoing releases simultaneously, ensuring effective prioritization and coordination across teams.
  • Coordinate small ad-hoc projects and initiatives related to software delivery and release management.
  • Work closely with Engineering, QA, Product, DevOps, and other stakeholders to ensure release readiness and successful delivery.
  • Monitor release progress, identify risks, dependencies, and potential blockers, and coordinate appropriate follow-up actions.
  • Ensure that all required release activities, approvals, testing, and documentation are completed before and after deployment.
  • Coordinate communication around release status, timelines, risks, and post-release activities.
  • Support troubleshooting of release-related issues and coordinate their resolution with relevant technical teams.
  • Maintain accurate release documentation, schedules, and records.
  • Support release retrospectives and use lessons learned to improve future releases.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and automation initiatives within the release management process.
  • Support global releases and collaborate with teams across different time zones when required.

About the project

As a Release Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the release process, ensuring that new features, updates, and changes are delivered smoothly, efficiently, and with the expected level of quality.
You will work closely with Product, Engineering, QA, DevOps, and other teams to plan releases, coordinate activities, manage dependencies and risks, and ensure that all stakeholders are aligned throughout the release cycle. You will help create a structured and predictable release process while continuously looking for opportunities to improve how we deliver changes to our products and customers.
We are looking for candidates based in the Silesia region (office in Katowice). Fully remote work is not an option, and unfortunately, applications from more distant locations will not be considered in the recruitment process.
