SAP Finance Architect

Our requirements

• Proven experience in SAP Finance architecture, with deep knowledge of FI/CO and TRM modules and strong exposure to S/4HANA Finance capabilities.
• Experience designing and delivering end-to-end Finance and Treasury solutions in complex enterprise landscapes, ideally within regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals.
• Solid understanding of integration patterns between SAP Finance/TRM and adjacent systems, including middleware and API-based approaches.
• Familiarity with e-invoicing standards and compliance requirements across EU markets and country-specific mandates, and experience integrating with external service providers.
• Demonstrated ability to translate regulatory and reporting requirements (e.g., IFRS, hedging) into SAP design and configuration choices.
• Proven leadership and mentoring skills, with experience guiding functional and technical teams through design, implementation, and operational support phases.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills; ability to engage with finance process owners, IT teams, and senior management.
• Relevant professional certifications or equivalent experience in SAP Finance, S/4HANA, or enterprise architecture are desirable.
• Fluency in English; additional language skills relevant to the client’s footprint are an advantage.

Your responsibilities

• Define and govern the SAP Finance architecture across FI/CO and TRM, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, the S/4HANA roadmap, and internal guidelines.
• Lead end-to-end solution design for Finance and Treasury processes, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Cost Controlling, Cash \u0026 Liquidity Management, and Risk Management.
• Own the technical and functional blueprint for FI/CO and TRM implementations, migrations, and enhancements within the internal landscape.
• Act as the primary escalation point for Finance domain issues, effectively bridging business stakeholders, finance process owners, and the IT delivery team.
• Drive S/4HANA Finance adoption by evaluating new capabilities and translating them into actionable roadmap items.
• Establish and maintain standards such as architecture patterns, design principles, configuration guidelines, and reusable solution templates for the Finance domain.
• Govern integrations between SAP Finance/TRM and adjacent systems to ensure data integrity and process consistency.
• Architect and oversee e-invoicing compliance solutions, including structured invoice formats (for example KSeF, Peppol, FatturaPA), integration with third-party providers, and alignment with evolving local and EU regulatory requirements.
• Lead Controlling architecture: design and govern CO structures including Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Profit Center Accounting, Product Costing, and Profitability Analysis (CO-PA), ensuring alignment with management reporting needs.
• Collaborate with Group Finance and Treasury to translate regulatory, compliance, and reporting requirements (for example IFRS, hedging, exposure management) into SAP solutions.
• Mentor and provide technical leadership to a team of SAP Finance consultants and functional analysts.
• Manage architecture reviews and quality gates by conducting peer reviews, approving functional specifications, and ensuring solution integrity across projects and releases.
