  • Extensive commercial experience with Python and backend engineering
  • Experience designing and building scalable / distributed systems
  • Strong understanding of system architecture and technical design
  • Strong hands-on AWS knowledge
  • Experience with cloud-native architectures and technical trade-offs
  • Ability to influence technical direction and engineering standards
  • Experience mentoring or coaching other engineers
  • Strong ownership mindset around reliability, maintainability and quality
  • Experience with microservices, event-driven architectures and distributed systems will be highly relevant.

Your responsibilities

  • Designing, developing and maintaining scalable backend services and applications using Python.
  • Building and integrating APIs, services and data-driven solutions with a focus on reliability and maintainability.
  • Designing and implementing cloud-native solutions on AWS, including distributed and event-driven architectures.
  • Contributing to technical design, architecture decisions and engineering standards across the development lifecycle.
  • Collaborating with distributed engineering teams, supporting code quality through testing and reviews, and mentoring less experienced engineers.
