Requirements

Your responsibilities

  • driving the development and continuous enhancement of actuarial valuation systems, including solution design, specifications, testing, and implementation of new functionalities
  • supporting the orchestration, central processing, and quality assurance of quarterly IFRS17 closing and forecasting across international business units
  • developing and maintaining actuarial valuation models, while ensuring high quality, robustness, and consistency of modelling approaches across portfolios
  • coordinating closely with actuarial, finance, IT, accounting, audit, controlling and data teams to ensure efficient, consistent, and high-quality end-to-end valuation and reporting and data management, including data quality, validation frameworks and valuation data models
  • developing a deep understanding of underlying business, products, and reinsurance contracts, analysing reserve movements and key result drivers (IFRS17 / Solvency II)
  • supporting the onboarding of new business into valuation systems, including model selection, assumptions setting, and portfolio data preparation; planning and executing testing activities across system releases, ensuring stability, accuracy, and alignment with methodological standards
  • developing and maintaining reporting tools, dashboards, and reference calculators, contributing to management reporting and presentations, translating complex actuarial results into clear insights supporting business steering and decision-making
  • driving automation, digitalisation and process optimisation, leveraging modern tools and technologies and developing technical capabilities in Python, SQL, Power BI, Databricks and similar data platforms

Our requirements

  • fluency in English
  • a university degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, or a related quantitative field
  • several years of relevant experience in actuarial valuation, IFRS17 / Solvency II, cash-flow modelling, or related systems roles
  • strong knowledge of life (re)insurance valuation frameworks, including IFRS17 and / or Solvency II
  • strong technical skills, including Python, SQL, Excel/VBA, Power BI, and experience working with data platforms (e.g. Databricks)
  • excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently, manage priorities and deliver high-quality results under time constraints
  • strong communication skills with stakeholders across actuarial, finance, IT, accounting and business, combined with a team-oriented, proactive mindset and ability to drive improvements and change

Optional

  • German language skills
  • hands-on experience with actuarial modelling platforms such as Moody’s AXIS, FIS Prophet (including Prophet ALS), and other industry tools (e.g. RiskAgility Financial Modeller (RAFM), Moses)
  • good progress or completion of actuarial qualifications from a recognized actuarial association
  • familiarity with modern data platforms (e.g. Databricks)
  • experience in automation, system development, or transformation initiatives

About the role

As a Senior Actuarial Consultant, you will contribute to valuation and earnings analyses for life and health (re)insurance portfolios across multiple regions (continental Europe, Latin America and the Middle East), supporting the development of models and assumptions used for financial reporting and business analytics. You will help to identify key value drivers and translate them into insights supporting management reporting, planning, forecasting, and business steering.
You will play an active role in developing valuation systems, improving data and reporting processes, and delivering insights supporting business steering and decision-making.
