Our requirements

  • Extensive experience as a Business Analyst in securities post-trade, settlement, custody, or securities operations.
  • Strong understanding of capital markets instruments (bonds, equities, repos).
  • Experience with bond issuance processes and debt securities lifecycle management.
  • Knowledge of Polish capital markets infrastructure, especially KDPW-related processes.
  • Experience with front-to-back capital markets platforms such as Calypso, Murex, or equivalent systems.
  • Proven experience in system integration within banking or financial services environments.
  • Hands-on experience with messaging technologies: Kafka, MQ, FIX, AMQP, SFTP.
  • Strong understanding of XML and financial messaging standards.
  • Knowledge of CSDR regulation and post-trade lifecycle processes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills.

Your responsibilities

  • Gather, analyse, and document business and regulatory requirements.
  • Translate requirements into functional and system specifications.
  • Define end-to-end transaction lifecycle (matching, settlement, reconciliation, exception handling).
  • Support delivery across multi-stream initiatives in complex capital markets environments.
  • Design and validate settlement workflows across multiple market infrastructures.
  • Define and manage transaction statuses (matched, pending, failed, settled).
  • Design exception handling processes for failed or unmatched transactions.
  • Support settlement and payment instruction processing, including NBP Sorbnet integration.
  • Define integrations with KDPW, Clearstream, NBP (Sorbnet), and Bloomberg TOMS.
  • Work with messaging technologies including Kafka, IBM MQ, AMQP, FIX, and SFTP.
  • Ensure full traceability, auditability, and message replay capabilities.
  • Support XML-based financial messaging and validation processes.
  • Define end-of-day reconciliation processes across asset and cash positions.
  • Design mechanisms for discrepancy detection and audit trail management.
  • Support regulatory and operational reporting (Excel, CSV, PDF formats).
  • Enable historical “as-of” data views for audit and investigation purposes.
  • Weighted Average Cost (WAC),
  • Interest accruals (EIR, premium/discount amortisation),
  • FX revaluation and multi-currency processing,
  • Short selling and P&L calculations.
  • Ensure compliance with CSDR regulation, including settlement discipline and penalties.
  • Maintain end-to-end audit trails across transactions and messaging flows.
  • Support maker-checker and operational control frameworks.

About the project

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support the design and implementation of a securities post-trade and settlement platform for a financial institution.
The role focuses on end-to-end analysis and delivery of a highly automated, scalable, and fully auditable solution supporting settlement processing, reconciliation, and regulatory compliance (including CSDR). The platform will integrate with key market infrastructures such as KDPW, NBP (Sorbnet), Clearstream, as well as external market systems used in capital markets operations.
You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, operations teams, IT architects, and external partners to define and deliver robust solutions within a complex, multi-system environment.
