Our requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Python programming.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with AWS Cloud and AWS services.
  • Minimum 5 years of practical experience building and consuming REST API-based interfaces.
  • Minimum 5 years of practical experience with SQL and relational data modelling.
  • German language proficiency at C1 level.

Your responsibilities

  • Design, implement, test, and maintain scalable backend services using Python.
  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and data integration interfaces to support real-time and batch processing.
  • Work with cloud-native architectures and AWS services to deploy, monitor, and optimise applications.
  • Implement data processing pipelines and components to support analytics and decision-support features.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, ML engineers, product managers, and operations, to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
  • Contribute to system design, code reviews, and technical documentation to ensure maintainability and operational reliability.
  • Participate in troubleshooting, incident response, and performance tuning for production systems.
  • Support simulation capabilities and tooling for evaluating operational scenarios and regional rollouts.

About the project

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Python Developer with strong German language proficiency to join a team building an AI-powered operational decision-support platform for transportation network management. The person in this role will design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, data processing components, and data integration solutions that analyse real-time operational data, generate optimisation recommendations, support dispatcher workflows, and enable simulation of operational scenarios for rollout across multiple regions.
