Our requirements
- 10+ years’ experience in data architecture and modelling (conceptual, logical, physical), including documentation of complex enterprise structures.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, ideally applied in cloud environments (GCP or similar).
- Comprehensive understanding of data management best practices: metadata, lineage, security, governance, and compliance.
- Experience establishing data patterns and architectural standards for integration and consumption layers.
- Excellent English communication skills, including producing technical documentation and facilitating design workshops.
Optional
- Knowledge of enterprise and IT architecture alignment, and how data fits within overall architecture frameworks.
- Experience in large, matrix organisations with complex stakeholder structures.
- Familiarity with data governance and metadata tools (Collibra, Erwin, Dataplex) and cloud technologies (Azure/AWS/GCP).
- Ability to produce clear technical presentations and communicate trade-offs to diverse audiences.
Your responsibilities
- Define and maintain enterprise data architecture standards, including canonical data models, metadata, and reference data frameworks.
- Own the target-state architecture, including conceptual, logical, and physical data models, as well as end-to-end data flows.
- Design and govern scalable data integration patterns (batch and streaming), ensuring interoperability across multiple systems and platforms.
- Set and enforce policies on data quality, lineage, security, and retention, working closely with engineering and governance teams.
- Translate business requirements into architecture artefacts: data models, data-flow diagrams, interface contracts, and non-functional specifications.
- Act as a Data Architecture SME, supporting engineers, QA, product owners, and analysts in design decisions and technical discussions.
