Our requirements
- Strong expertise in building and maintaining data pipelines and production-grade data workflows
- Solid knowledge of dbt, including developing models, tests, and documentation
- Experience working with cloud environments, preferably GCP, and data warehouses such as BigQuery
- Proficiency in SQL and Python, with the ability to write clean, scalable, and maintainable code
- Hands-on experience creating and operating web scrapers and integrating diverse external data sources
- Practical understanding of backend development, ideally with FastAPI or similar frameworks
- Ability to analyze data quality issues, debug pipeline failures, and improve overall system reliability
- Strong architectural awareness and the ability to coordinate work across interconnected systems and teams

- Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and workflow orchestration tools (Airflow or similar) is beneficial

- Maintain, extend, and troubleshoot the FastAPI backend that powers the data platform

About the Role:
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will join our client’s data and engineering team to design, maintain, and evolve the core data platform that supports key investment and analytical workflows. You will work in a collaborative, non-corporate environment where experienced specialists share knowledge and support your professional growth. Your responsibilities will include building and maintaining web scrapers that feed data from GCP into BigQuery, improving and extending dbt pipelines to strengthen data quality, and enhancing internal algorithms and valuation models. You will also maintain and develop the FastAPI backend that integrates with the broader platform. A strong understanding of the overall system architecture and the ability to coordinate work across teams will be essential.
