Senior DevOps Engineer (GCP)

Our requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform in production environments.
• Very good knowledge of Terraform and experience managing Terraform at scale.
• Practical experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions for CI/CD automation.
• Deep Kubernetes / GKE experience including cluster operations, workload management and debugging.
• Solid understanding of GCP IAM, VPC networking, firewall rules and cloud security principles.
• Experience designing CI/CD systems and automating delivery pipelines.
• Production experience with monitoring, logging and observability tooling and practices.
• Background operating cloud platforms in production, ideally in an SRE or production engineering capacity.
• Hands-on exposure to incident management, on-call responsibilities, and reliability engineering practices (SLIs/SLOs).
• Strong understanding of secrets management, least-privilege design and cloud compliance controls.
• Fluent English and the ability to work independently within a distributed team.
• Seniority: preferred Senior with at least 7 years of commercial experience; strong Mid-level profiles will be considered.

Optional

• Desirable experience (advantageous): Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Prometheus/Grafana, Datadog, Dynatrace, Helm, Secret Manager, Trivy, Checkov/tfsec, Cloud VPN / Interconnect or equivalent tools.

Your responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform using Terraform and best-practice IaC patterns.
• Develop and own CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and related tooling to automate delivery and testing workflows.
• Operate and improve Kubernetes workloads on GKE, including deployment patterns, scaling, and troubleshooting.
• Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and observability solutions to ensure production reliability and actionable insights.
• Participate in incident management and on-call rotations, applying SRE practices such as SLIs, SLOs and post-incident reviews.
• Define and enforce security and compliance controls: IAM, least privilege, secrets management, network controls and firewall rules.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to define platform standards, automations, and runbooks that enable developer productivity.
• Continuously evaluate and integrate tools for vulnerability scanning, policy-as-code, and runtime security.
