Our requirements
- BSc in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or another relevant field
- At least 5 years of experience in frontend software development
- Strong knowledge of TypeScript and Vue.js (or a similar SPA framework such as React or Angular)
- Broad understanding of software development, including system architecture and coding for scale
- Ability to communicate technical possibilities and trade-offs clearly to both technical and non-technical colleagues
- Practical interest in experimentation and building MVPs
- Ability to work independently with a high degree of ownership, openness to feedback, and reliability in meeting deadlines
- Fluent English, written and spoken
Your responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and improve scalable frontend applications using TypeScript and Vue.js
- Translate UX/UI designs and product requirements into responsive, accessible, and maintainable user experiences
- Contribute to frontend architecture and communicate clearly about what can be built, scaled, and maintained
- Integrate the frontend with backend services, APIs, and search capabilities across the OpenGDDS platform
- Build MVPs and experiment with new approaches while keeping a strong focus on quality and long-term maintainability
- Support engineering quality through unit testing, end-to-end testing, code reviews, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement
- Collaborate across locations and disciplines to deliver effective solutions for researchers and scientific stakeholders
