- Owns the whole development process - the idea, the architecture, the technology and UI decisions, the implementation, and the delivery
- Builds complete applications - frontend, backend, and the infrastructure they run on
- Holds the team to a high standard - reviews code, defines how things are done, and keeps improving it
- Works efficiently with GitHub - branching strategies, pull requests, CI/CD pipelines
- Responsibilities
- Work with stakeholders across different teams to understand what they need, propose solutions, and turn requirements into a concrete plan - including bringing in new ideas of your own
- Build and ship the solution: frontend, backend, and infrastructure - owning the architecture, technology choices, containerization, and deployment to production
- Review code, define development standards, and hold the team to them
- Mentor junior developers and continuously improve both the team and the platform
- Design and build AI agents and AI-driven automation that remove manual, repetitive work from engineering processes
