Senior GCP DevSecOps Engineer

Our requirements

• Experience in building and managing services in Google Cloud Platform. Expertise in products like GKE, BigQuery, Cloud Build, or Cloud Run will be considered a plus.
• Expert-level understanding of Cloud Security and associated Google Cloud best practices.
• Strong understanding of DevOps and SRE principles and Infrastructure as Code concepts and techniques. Hands-on experience with Terraform and a strong understanding of CI/CD and related tools (e.g., Cloud Build, Flux CD, Helm).
• Excellent skills in at least one of the following programming languages: Python, Go, Bash.
• Experience in Security and Compliance, such as IAM and cloud compliance/auditing/monitoring tools, with experience in full automation and configuration management.
• A track record of continuously improving processes and an excellent understanding of the mechanisms necessary to successfully implement change.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information effectively to diverse audiences.
• A comprehensive understanding of risk management and proven experience in ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory processes.

Your responsibilities

• Build, deploy, and manage applications on the GCP foundation platform using Google Cloud products such as BigQuery, GKE, Cloud Build, Cloud Run, and Python as the programming language.
• Engineer solutions on the GCP platform using Infrastructure As Code methods (e.g., Terraform, Config Connector).
• Implement preventive security solutions centrally to improve overall security posture.
• Integrate, configure, deploy, and manage common cloud services, including IAM, networking, logging, operating systems, and containers.
• Ensure compliance with centrally defined Cloud Security Standards.
• Ensure compliance with Operational Risk Standards (e.g., Network, Firewall, OS, Logging, Monitoring, Availability, Resiliency).
• Build and support Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), and Continuous Testing activities.
• Implement good Change Management practices as specified by central standards.
• Update support and operational documentation as required.
