Senior Java Software Engineer

Our requirements

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with business-level English and the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals with a polyglot mindset; ability to deliver in multiple languages and ecosystems.
• Experience with Java and frameworks such as Spring/Spring Boot (desirable but not essential; candidates strong in other languages and motivated to learn Java are welcome).
• Strong grasp of functional, non-blocking, and asynchronous programming; familiarity with modern concurrency models and reactive approaches.
• Experience with security software and exposure to secure engineering practices (desirable).
• Hands-on cloud experience: designing, building, and operating workloads in the cloud.
• Strong testing approach: applying the right testing techniques (unit, integration, contract, end-to-end).
• Performance testing knowledge (nice to have): familiarity with performance test design, execution, and result interpretation.
• API security at scale (beneficial): knowledge of securing high-volume APIs, including authentication, authorization, and threat mitigation.
• High attention to detail: consistent focus on quality, accuracy, and maintainability.

Your responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based applications using Java.
• Review proposed solutions to ensure alignment with CTO Platforms objectives and standards.
• Champion high standards in software engineering, including code quality, security, and maintainability.
• Deliver comprehensive automated testing (unit, integration, and regression) as part of every change.
• Approach technical challenges with an open, collaborative mindset.
• Take initiative to improve developer experience and efficiency.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and technical support to less experienced colleagues.
