Senior JBoss Middleware Specialist

Our requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Red Hat JBoss EAP / JBoss application servers
• Strong experience in JBoss administration, configuration, deployment, patching, upgrades and troubleshooting
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems
• Experience with JBoss clustering, high availability and production environments
• Strong knowledge of JVM and JBoss performance tuning, including memory, threads, connection pools and GC
• Experience with L2/L3 production support, incident/problem management and root-cause analysis
• Good understanding of web servers, reverse proxies, load balancers and TLS/SSL
• Experience with Shell scripting and/or Ansible for administration and automation
• Ability to independently troubleshoot complex issues in large-scale enterprise environments
• Good English and communication skills
• Hands-on infrastructure/middleware background rather than a Java development profile
• Experience supporting business-critical production systems, high availability and strict operational processes

Optional

• Experience with Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes or containers
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools
• Experience in enterprise banking or other highly regulated environments
• Knowledge of other middleware platforms, such as IBM WebSphere or Apache Tomcat

Your responsibilities

• Administration, configuration, deployment, patching and upgrades of Red Hat JBoss EAP / JBoss application servers
• Troubleshooting complex issues in large-scale enterprise production environments
• Supporting JBoss clustering, high availability and business-critical systems
• Performing JVM and JBoss performance tuning, including memory, threads, connection pools and garbage collection
• Providing L2/L3 production support, including incident and problem management
• Performing root-cause analysis and implementing solutions to prevent recurring issues
• Administration and troubleshooting of Linux/Unix operating systems
• Working with web servers, reverse proxies, load balancers and TLS/SSL
• Developing and maintaining Shell scripts and/or Ansible automation
• Ensuring system stability, availability and adherence to operational processes
• Collaborating with international teams and communicating technical issues and solutions in English
