About the project

The Senior Platform Engineer will work with the Technology team and Platform Owner to drive improvements in productivity through backlog management, maturity in the use of Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, Lean), and corresponding management of dependencies.
You will help to drive improvements in agile software delivery, production support processes and continuous DevOps pipelines development and ensure that all Technology practices, security and architecture controls and associated tools are adhered to within the Pod.
The Senior Platform Engineer will also have responsibility for the mentoring and development of people within the team as an integral part of the continuous improvement of the engineering skills.

Your responsibilities

  • Manage technical delivery from global teams around the globe.
  • Coordinate with Delivery Leads across multiple workstreams in planning and delivery of Sprints on the work they are engaged in.
  • Plan and review release implementations by creating low level designs and conducting code reviews.
  • Create JIRA technical tasks from stories, sprint planning and sprint refinement.
  • Troubleshoot production issues with Open Banking Live applications.
  • Impact analysis of agreed change requests.
  • Support design and presentation to TDA.
  • Stakeholder management (Product Owners, Delivery Leads, OBSS Leadership).

Our requirements

  • Very good understanding AWS Infrastructure.
  • Working experience and expertise of Java/Python.
  • Knowledge of Terraform, Jenkins and GitHub.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Prioritization skills for multiple deliveries within regulatory deadlines.
  • Troubleshooting mindset for unblocking issues as they arise.
  • Ability to multitask.
