- 5+ years of professional Python development experience
- Strong OOP and software design skills
- Experience with test automation and creating maintainable architectures
- Knowledge of Python ecosystem: pytest, numpy, scipy, pandas, matplotlib, pyvisa
- Experience with concurrency and I/O operations in Python
- Engineering background (physics, optics, electronics, or related field)
Optional
- Experience with hardware/lab equipment automation
- Knowledge of VISA/SCPI, VXI-11, GPIB protocols
- Experience with optical measurement systems
- Knowledge of .NET / C#
Your responsibilities
- Develop automated tests in Python (pytest) for optical and embedded devices
- Build and maintain Python test frameworks and shared libraries
- Automate laboratory equipment and measurement instruments
- Develop functional, integration, and performance test strategies
- Integrate tests with CI/CD pipelines
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
- Perform manual testing where automation is not justified
