Your responsibilities

  • Own and lead the end-to-end release management process for complex and high-impact releases.
  • Lead and coordinate the transition of solutions into production following successful UAT completion.
  • Take ownership of post-release verification and testing activities, ensuring that releases perform as expected in production.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and control within the assigned release management area and take responsibility for successful delivery.
  • Manage multiple releases and related initiatives simultaneously, ensuring effective prioritization and coordination of resources, timelines, and dependencies.
  • Lead the continuous improvement of release-related processes, procedures, workflows, and standards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency, quality, predictability, and scalability of the release process and drive their implementation.
  • Establish and promote consistent release management practices across teams and projects.
  • Work closely with Engineering, QA, Product, DevOps, and other stakeholders to ensure release readiness and successful delivery.
  • Identify, assess, and actively manage release risks, dependencies, blockers, and potential business impacts.
  • Lead release readiness reviews and ensure that all required testing, approvals, documentation, and operational activities are completed.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex release issues and coordinate resolution with relevant technical and business teams.
  • Ensure clear and effective communication of release plans, timelines, risks, dependencies, and status to stakeholders at different levels of the organization.
  • Coordinate post-release activities, including verification, issue follow-up, and release retrospectives.
  • Analyze release performance and use lessons learned and data to identify areas for improvement.

About the project

As a Senior Release Manager, you will take ownership of the end-to-end release management process, ensuring that complex software releases are planned, coordinated, and delivered successfully across the organization. You will provide leadership and direction throughout the release lifecycle, working closely with Engineering, QA, Product, DevOps, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality and predictable delivery.
You will be responsible for managing multiple releases and related initiatives at the same time, identifying and mitigating risks, coordinating dependencies, and ensuring a smooth transition of solutions into production. You will also play a key role in continuously improving release processes, procedures, and ways of working across the organization.
We are looking for candidates based in the Silesia region (office in Katowice). Fully remote work is not an option, and unfortunately, applications from more distant locations will not be considered in the recruitment process.
