Our requirements

  • Production experience with Open vSwitch (OVS) and OVN.
  • Solid knowledge of cloud networking concepts: VPC, NAT, VPN, BGP, VXLAN, load balancing and DNS.
  • Deep understanding of the Linux networking stack, including namespaces, iptables, tc and kernel networking subsystems.
  • Experience integrating SDN solutions with OpenStack Neutron.
  • Programming skills in one or more of the following: C/C++, Go, Python or Bash.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes networking and CNI plugins (for example, Calico).
  • DPDK experience is an advantage.
  • Good command of English.

Optional

  • Experience using AI tools in day-to-day technical workflows.

Your responsibilities

  • Design, deploy and maintain the software-defined networking layer for cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, performance and security.
  • Operate and troubleshoot production OVS and OVN environments, including network datapath and control plane components.
  • Integrate SDN solutions with OpenStack Neutron and other cloud orchestration components.
  • Develop networking APIs and cloud network platform features to meet service requirements.
  • Implement observability for network services: metrics, distributed tracing and structured logging.
  • Automate network operations and operational workflows to reduce manual intervention and improve reliability.
  • Lead root cause analysis for network incidents and implement corrective and preventive fixes.
  • Contribute to open-source projects relevant to the stack, including Open vSwitch, OVN, OpenStack Neutron and Linux kernel networking subsystems.
