Our requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
  • 1 year of experience with data structures and algorithms.
  • 1 year of experience working with embedded operating systems.

Optional

  • Experience in low level Firmware/Hardware (FW/HW) programming.
  • Experience in firmware development for embedded systems.
  • Experience with software development in C language.

Your responsibilities

  • Design, write, test and maintain embedded software.
  • Implement software for Dynamic Voltage and Frequency Scaling (DVFS).
  • Triage, root-cause and fix issues at the boundary of software and hardware in close collaboration with silicon engineering teams.
  • Work with actual prototype devices and lab equipment to analyze signals and run physical voltage and frequency measurements.
  • Optimize firmware code to maximize power savings, minimize execution latency, and operate within tight memory constraints.

Pixel Power Management Software team leads creating and supporting software solutions to manage, measure and monitor Pixel device power along with detection, attribution and mitigation of power issues in order to improve battery life for Pixel devices and by extension the Android ecosystem for a great end user experience with battery life.
