  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 2 years of experience with full-stack development, across the back-end such as Java, Python, Golang, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.

Your responsibilities

  • Write product or system development code.

  • Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.

Your work will directly support the safety, stability, and future evolution of a key part of the Chrome ecosystem, addressing issues in areas like global compliance, enterprise features, and core storefront functionality. You will contribute to the development and implementation of key systems and features, from core user-facing elements to backend infrastructure supporting enterprise needs and global regulations. You will have the opportunity to take ownership of your development tasks, collaborate closely with executive engineers, and help enhance the resilience and quality of the platform that underpins the Chrome extension ecosystem.
The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware.
