Our requirements

  • Degree (university or university of applied sciences) in (business) informatics, business law, business administration, a related field, or have equivalent professional training
  • Experience in software license management and very good knowledge of vendor license models
  • Experience working with a SAM tool (ideally ServiceNow)
  • Familiarity with legal requirements in the IT sector and have an understanding of common IT technologies and terminology in the context of software asset management
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in data analysis
  • Experience in project leadership and are well versed in project management methods
  • Basic knowledge and experience in designing and coordinating IT processes (e.g., ITIL)
  • Good communication and assertiveness skills
  • Fluent in English and Polish

Your responsibilities

  • You will independently operate and optimize MTU’s global software and IT license management
  • As part of operational license management, you will work closely with IT, Procurement, Legal, and other relevant departments to coordinate software acquisitions also at the international level
  • You will independently analyze compliance requirements in software and IT license management and prepare reports on software consumption and license usage to support strategic decisions
  • You will record and manage software licenses and contracts, and monitor and optimize license usage and license requirements
  • You ensure compliance with license terms and legal requirements, conduct regular internal license reviews, and assist with external vendor audits
  • You will advise and support business departments on software and IT license management issues and design training sessions on software licensing and SAM processes, which you will also perform
  • You will identify and implement possibilities for process improvement, standardization, and automation of MTU’s software and IT license management
  • You will lead and implement projects in software asset management (SAM) and contribute to the strategic planning and evaluation of new software solutions
  • You represent the interests of IT and MTU in internal and external projects, working groups, and negotiations
