Experience & Certifications
▪️8+ years of total IT professional experience, with 5+ years in a Solutions Architect or equivalent role.
▪️Proven track record as a Key Architect on at least 2 large-scale software systems.
▪️At least 2 active certifications from the following:
- Master-level software architecture credential (e.g., TOGAF Certified).
- Certified UML Professional (Foundation level or equivalent).
Technical Expertise
▪️Deep domain expertise in enterprise system design, capacity planning, and security on Microsoft platforms.
▪️Hands-on mastery of systems modeling tools (e.g., Sparx Enterprise Architect, ARIS Architect), UML, and methodologies (RUP, Agile, ISO 12207).
▪️Broad proficiency across databases, app servers, middleware, web servers, GIS services, directory services, and Business Intelligence (BI).
Domain & Platform Mandates
▪️Direct architectural experience with the Schengen Information System (SIS).
▪️Proven architectural experience with RedHat OpenShift as the primary platform.
▪️Hands-on delivery of biometric/document scanning solutions featuring at least one:
- Fingerprint scanning (NIST format, min. 2 fingers).
- Document scanning (MRZ for passports, IDs, visas).
- Biometric RFID chip data extraction.
▪️Solid grasp of EU Data Privacy, DPIA, and Information Security Risk Assessment frameworks.
Your responsibilities
- As a Solutions Architect, you will serve as the technical authority driving high-impact architecture for complex, enterprise-level ICT systems.
- Architecture & Design: Own end-to-end system architecture, design interoperable interfaces, and maintain architecture throughout the system lifecycle.
- Tech Leadership: Lead development teams, establish standards for design, quality, and testing, and mentor engineers.
- Strategy & Innovation: Elicit requirements, map business goals to system capabilities, evaluate new technologies, and optimize performance, security, and scalability.
- EU Security Integration: Bridge user needs with highly secure, compliant architectures tailored for EU institutions.
