AI Systems Engineer

Employer requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken, suitable for daily collaboration with U.S.-based leadership and international teams
• Some professional, academic, or project-based experience building AI/ML or intelligent software systems
• Strong programming experience with Python and solid backend development concepts.
• Clear understanding of APIs, databases, and software integration concepts
• Good understanding of modern AI concepts such as LLMs, RAG systems, embeddings/vector search, and AI workflow automation
• Strong problem-solving skills, willingness to learn new technologies, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-moving development environment

Optional

• Experience with AI frameworks or tools such as: Ollama, LangChain, OpenAI APIs, FastAPI, PyTorch, or TensorFlow
• Experience with SQL databases and API development
• Familiarity with Linux, Docker or GPU-based systems
• Exposure to ERP systems, manufacturing systems, automation or operational software
• Experience with OCR, document intelligence or AI-assisted business workflows

Your responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining AI-powered internal applications and services
• Building APIs, backend services, and integrations that support AI workflows
• Collaborating directly with the AI & Digital Innovation Lead on various AI and software initiatives
• Assisting in the development of projects involving: Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents and workflow automation, intelligent document processing (OCR and invoice/receiver matching systems), ERP data integrations, AI-assisted reporting and operational dashboards, Internal AI assistants and knowledge systems
• Helping organize, structure and optimize operational data for AI usage, as well as supporting the deployment and maintenance of local and cloud-based AI infrastructure
• Participating in software design, testing, debugging, and documentation efforts, while continuously improving and automating business processes using AI technologies
