Your responsibilities

  • Design and implement Data Governance processes and standards within the GCP environment.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise data catalog solutions and metadata management processes.
  • Define metadata models, data catalog structures, and relationships between data assets.
  • Define, document, and enforce data access management policies and standards.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering, BI, Analytics teams, and business stakeholders to improve data governance maturity.
  • Support business users in discovering, understanding, and effectively using available data assets.
  • Participate in defining and implementing Data Contracts and data exchange standards.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation related to governance processes, standards, and data models.
  • Contribute to improving data security, quality, and usability across the organization.
  • Participate in technical discussions, solution design, and code reviews.

The role combines strong Google Cloud Platform expertise with a solid understanding of Data Governance principles. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working within the GCP ecosystem and have practical experience in metadata management, data quality, lineage, ownership, and access governance.
The position involves designing and implementing Data Governance processes in a cloud-based data environment, developing data catalog capabilities, managing metadata, defining governance standards, and ensuring secure and efficient data usage across the organization.
The role requires close collaboration with Data Engineering teams, BI teams, and business data owners to establish scalable governance frameworks and improve data reliability and accessibility.
